Mid-level associate role in a national practice focused on CFIUS, export controls, and government contracts based in Washington, DC. The team advises on foreign investment reviews and related national security regulatory matters, and supports transactional work including M&A and structured investments.

Day-to-day work will include preparing filings and analyses for CFIUS and outbound investment screening, counseling on export controls and sanctions, supporting government-contracts matters and internal investigations, and coordinating with regulatory agencies. The group services a range of corporate clients on cross-border and national-security-sensitive transactions.

2–6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in relevant regulatory or transactional work
Demonstrated academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Experience or strong interest in CFIUS and the Outbound Investment Security Program (OISP)
Experience or willingness to develop expertise in export controls, sanctions (OFAC), and government contracts
Transactional experience or interest (M&A and structured investments) and exposure to agencies such as BIS, DDTC, OFAC, and DCSA preferred
