Do the most consequential work in legal search — and own it.

Sartori & Partners is a boutique legal executive-search firm. We hire people who would rather run one search exceptionally than ten adequately — recruiters, researchers and consultants who value precision, evidence over instinct, and real ownership of their work.

01 Why this work

A place built for people who take the work seriously.

The hires we run are the most consequential moves in a lawyer's career and the most strategic decisions a firm makes. That is the work — intricate, high-stakes and quietly important. We built a firm to do it properly.

A boutique is a deliberate choice. We stay small so that the people doing the work are the people making the decisions — and so that craft, not volume, is the thing we are measured on.

We are a specialist legal executive-search firm that bridges European legal tradition and the pace of American business. We work only on legal mandates, we map the whole market before we form a view, and we move careers quietly. The work rewards curiosity, restraint and judgment — and it gives those qualities room to compound.

If you want to be a name on an org chart, this is not the place. If you want to own consequential work, learn beside experienced people, and build a reputation you are proud of, read on — and see how we work.

02 What we value

Five things we will not trade away.

These are not slogans on a wall. They are how we behave on a live mandate — with clients, with candidates, and with each other.

  1. Discretion is the work

We move careers and reshape teams in confidence. The instinct to protect a name, a conversation and a mandate isn't a compliance box — it's the craft itself, and it runs through everything from a first call to a closed search.

  2. Evidence before instinct

We map the whole field before we form a view. A shortlist that starts from the full market — not a recycled contact list — is harder to build and far better to stand behind. We back judgment with data, then let judgment decide.

  3. Substance over volume

We would rather run one search exceptionally than ten adequately. Depth in a single sector beats breadth across many, and a smaller, defensible shortlist beats a longer, easier one. Quality is the only metric that compounds.

  4. Ownership, end to end

People here carry mandates, not tickets. You own the outcome from brief to placement, you make the calls that matter, and you are trusted to use judgment long before you are senior. Autonomy is given early and earned continuously.

  5. Plain dealing

We say what is true to clients, to candidates and to each other — including when it is inconvenient. No inflated shortlists, no managed expectations, no quiet spin. Reputation is the asset we are actually building.

03 How we work

A boutique with a serious engine behind it.

Senior people, international mandates and our own market intelligence — the conditions that let a small firm do work that larger ones can't. Powered by Titan Crawler AI, our proprietary market-mapping platform.

I

Boutique and senior

Small by design. You work beside experienced consultants on consequential mandates, not in a layer of a process — and you are trusted with judgment long before you are senior.

II

Data-led, not database-led

We built our own market-mapping engine, Titan Crawler AI, so every search starts from the full field rather than a rented list. You spend your judgment where it counts, not chasing the same stale contacts as everyone else.

III

International by default

Our work spans the United States, Europe and the Gulf. You build fluency in more than one legal market and do real work with senior people across borders and time zones.

IV

High-ownership, remote-friendly

People here carry mandates end to end and are judged on what they deliver, not where they sit. Autonomy is given early; mentorship is constant; the result is yours to own.

The same engine and method behind our searches is set out in our methodology — the work you'd be joining, in detail.

04 What we offer

What you get for doing the work well.

We keep the list honest. No gimmicks tied to a vendor, no perks that read better than they live — just the things that actually make this a good place to build a career.

I

Meaningful ownership

Real responsibility from the start. You run mandates, own relationships and see your work land — not a sliver of someone else's process. Contribution is visible, and it is rewarded.

II

Best-in-class tooling

You work alongside Titan Crawler AI, our proprietary market-mapping engine. Instead of fishing the same rented databases as everyone else, you start every search from a living map of the entire legal market.

III

International exposure

We work across the United States, Europe and the Gulf. You build fluency in more than one legal market, and you do consequential work with senior people on both sides of a move.

IV

Mentorship & rapid growth

A boutique is senior by design. You learn beside experienced consultants, in the room rather than from a manual, and you take on more as fast as you can carry it — not on a fixed annual ladder.

V

Performance-linked reward

Compensation is structured to recognise outcomes, not hours logged or seats filled. When the work you own succeeds, you share in it — directly and transparently.

VI

Flexible, remote-friendly

We are built to work across time zones, so we are remote-friendly by default and judge people on what they deliver, not where they sit or when they are online.

VII

A genuine meritocracy

Progression here follows contribution, not tenure or title. Good judgment and good outcomes are noticed quickly, and they are what move you forward.

VIII

Work that means something

These are the most consequential hires in a person's career and in a firm's strategy. The work is intricate, high-stakes and quietly important — and it is never anonymous.

05 Who thrives here

The people this work suits.

There is no single background that fits. There is a way of thinking — curious, precise, measured, and comfortable owning the outcome. If this sounds like you, we should talk.

You are genuinely curious

You want to understand a practice, a market and a person in depth — not skim a profile. You ask the second and third question, and you enjoy the part where research turns into insight.

You are trusted with discretion

You can hold a confidence and read a sensitive situation. People tell you things because they know it stays with you, and you treat that as the responsibility it is.

You take ownership

You would rather own an outcome than be handed a task. You are comfortable making the call, following through, and standing behind the result — without waiting to be told.

You are precise

You care about getting the detail right — the name, the number, the nuance — because in this work the detail is the difference between a credible introduction and a wasted one.

You think in evidence

You are comfortable with data and you let it sharpen your judgment rather than replace it. You like tools that make you better and you are not precious about how the answer is found.

You play the long game

You measure success in relationships that last and placements that stick, not in quick wins. You build a reputation deliberately, and you protect it.

06 Common questions

Questions about joining us

Do I need legal-recruitment experience to apply?

Not necessarily. Specialist recruitment experience is welcome, but we care more about curiosity, judgment, discretion and a genuine interest in the legal market. Researchers, consultants and people moving from adjacent fields have all thrived here — what matters is how you think, and how you carry responsibility.

Where are you based — is the work remote?

We are an internationally connected boutique and we are remote-friendly by default, working across the United States, Europe and the Gulf. We judge people on what they deliver rather than where they sit. We don't publish office locations — discretion is part of how we operate — but we are happy to discuss working arrangements directly once a conversation is underway.

What kinds of roles do you hire for?

Recruiters and search consultants, market researchers and analysts, and the people who support and build our data and outreach engine. We don't always have a vacancy open, but we are always interested in exceptional people — so we welcome speculative introductions as readily as applications to a specific role.

How do I apply?

Start a conversation through our talk to us page, or write to [email protected] with a short note on why this is the kind of work you want to do, and a CV if you have one to hand. Every approach is read in confidence.
