Apply in confidence →Join a nationally recognised Real Estate practice as a Managing Associate focused on future energy projects. This role is open across multiple UK offices (Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or Belfast) and sits in a Legal 500 tier 1 ranked real estate team advising on renewable energy transactions.
The role involves drafting and negotiating option agreements and leases for clean energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage, EV infrastructure, hydro), conducting title due diligence, and supporting project financings and large-scale acquisitions/disposals. You will work closely with colleagues across corporate, banking, construction, planning and regulatory disciplines, run your own files, and take early responsibility for client delivery.
There is scope to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contribute to business development, and help grow the practice's future-energy offering nationally.
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or Northern Ireland) with a minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience in Real Estate.
- Proven experience advising on future/renewable energy projects (leasing, site acquisitions, project documentation).
- Experience of supervising or managing junior lawyers and running files with client contact.
- Strong commercial drafting, due diligence and client-facing skills; demonstrable business development track record.
