Senior Associate or Special Counsel opportunity in a national Banking & Financial Services team, based in Melbourne. The role can be offered as a permanent appointment or a 12-month fixed-term contract and supports hybrid and flexible working.

The practice advises on investment funds across asset classes and on financial services regulation, licensing and compliance. The successful candidate will work on fund establishment and operation, disclosure documents, due diligence and fund-related commercial agreements, and will support business development and precedent work.

5–9 years post-admission experience in financial services or funds work, preferably from private practice
Experience with fund formation, fund restructures and fund-related commercial agreements
Knowledge of Australian financial services licensing, regulatory compliance and disclosure requirements
Strong drafting, technical and analytical skills, with excellent verbal and written communication
Proven ability to manage client relationships and to mentor junior lawyers
