Leading national litigation team seeks an associate (1–6 years) to join a busy Chicago litigation group focused on integrating artificial intelligence into day-to-day practice. The role emphasizes creative, hands-on deployment of AI tools across litigation tasks rather than checkbox or novelty use.

You will work on complex, fast-moving matters, using AI extensively for research, document review, drafting, case management, and strategy. The firm supports experimentation and innovation and encourages associates to develop new workflows and tooling that responsibly expand how AI is used in legal practice.

Juris Doctor (JD) and 1–6 years of litigation experience.
Demonstrated, daily hands-on proficiency with AI tools and large language models and experience with AI-assisted legal research and document review platforms.
Technical curiosity and AI literacy — follows model developments and can assess capabilities/limitations.
Sound judgment in supervising and verifying AI output; understands risks such as confabulation and applies appropriate lawyer oversight.
Strong writing and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced teams.
Commitment to pro bono representation and membership in the relevant state bar.
