Appellate Associate — Litigation, Washington, DC

Growing appellate practice seeks a mid-level associate to join its Washington, DC office and contribute across state and federal appeals, including U.S. Supreme Court work. The role involves drafting appellate, certiorari, and amicus briefs; preparing complex dispositive motions; advising trial teams on record development and issue preservation; and participating in oral argument when appropriate.

The team handles a wide variety of complex matters for both commercial and pro bono clients. This position offers exposure to appeals in state supreme courts, federal courts of appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and requires strong written advocacy and strategic judgment.

• 3–5 years' post-qualification experience (mid-level appellate experience)
• At least one prior judicial clerkship at the state high court or any federal district/appellate level
• Excellent academic record and superior legal writing skills
• Membership in the Washington, DC bar required
• Demonstrated commitment to pro bono work and strong teamwork skills
