Appellate Litigation Associate, Washington, DC

Seeking a mid- to senior-level associate to join a busy appellate litigation team in the Washington, D.C. office of a major law firm. The role involves leading complex appellate research and drafting, contributing to appellate strategy, and supporting trial teams on preserved issues and post-trial work.

Ideal candidates will join a collaborative practice handling high-stakes federal and state appeals. The group values meticulous legal analysis, persuasive written advocacy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• 5+ years' litigation experience (PQE 5 or equivalent)
• Strong appellate litigation background with demonstrable writing and briefing experience
• Superior legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
• Federal appellate judicial clerkship strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage complex assignments, collaborate across teams, and meet tight deadlines
