Seeking an Assistant Managing Attorney to support a leading litigation practice by guiding matters from commencement through resolution and ensuring compliance with procedural rules, court practices, and filing deadlines across jurisdictions. The role partners with litigators, the Managing Attorney’s office, and professional staff to improve court-facing operations and mitigate litigation risk.

Key responsibilities include advising on procedural strategy, reviewing court submissions for rule compliance, managing calendaring and docketing, tracking changes to standing orders and rules, preparing in-house CLEs, and supervising/managing professional staff. Experience leveraging litigation technology and court databases to streamline processes is important.

For candidates assigned or hired to work in New York or California, the current estimated salary range is $225,000 to $250,000.

  • JD and active bar membership in good standing (New York or California)
  • At least 3 years of litigation practice or supervisory experience in a Managing Attorney’s/Clerk’s office
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state civil procedure and court practices
  • Experience with litigation technology and court databases (e.g., PACER, Bloomberg Law) and with calendaring/docketing systems
  • Experience supervising or training professional staff and delivering CLE-style presentations; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
