Associate — Asset Finance, New York

Seeking an associate to join a global finance practice in New York focusing on asset-backed and transport finance. The team advises lenders, lessors, financiers, manufacturers and investors on financings and leases across aviation, shipping, rail and other high-value movable assets, covering structuring, security, documentation, closings, portfolio transactions and restructurings.

Admission to the New York bar is required (or eligibility to waive in). Preferred class years 2017–2021. Applications should include a resume and law school transcript(s).

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, or foreign law degree plus U.S. LL.M.
• Admission to (or eligibility to waive into) the New York bar.
• Meaningful experience on cross-border asset finance matters, particularly in aviation and other transportation/high‑value equipment financings.
• Experience with operating and finance leases, secured lending, sale/leaseback, portfolio acquisitions/dispositions, restructurings and asset-backed/structured financings.
• Familiarity with ECA-supported financings, ABS and other complex financing structures.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and project-management skills; commercial mindset and ability to work on team-based, cross-border matters.
• High academic achievement; prior experience at a comparable international or large U.S. law firm preferred.
