Experienced banking & finance associate sought to join a busy Melbourne finance team. The role involves advising on commercial lending matters, finance documentation and security arrangements across domestic and cross-border matters.

The successful candidate will work on a mix of syndicated and bilateral facilities, refinancings and client-facing mandates alongside senior lawyers. The team offers hands-on deal experience and exposure to lenders, borrowers and other market participants.

Qualified lawyer admitted (or eligible) to practice in Australia.
Established experience in banking & finance (experience at an international, national or specialist firm preferred).
Strong drafting and documentation skills on finance transactions.
Commercial mindset, strong academic background and effective client and team communication skills.
