Associate — Bankruptcy Litigation, New York

Join a leading international law firm’s Financial Restructuring & Insolvency practice in New York as an associate focused on bankruptcy litigation. The team handles complex Chapter 11 contested matters and cross-border insolvency work for a range of stakeholders; you will support high-profile, fast-paced restructuring litigation under close partner supervision.

You will work on trials and adversary proceedings, all aspects of discovery, drafting pleadings and briefs, legal research on bankruptcy and related federal/state statutes, and support contested plan-confirmation and claims-related litigation. The role offers exposure to complex financial and governance issues and collaboration with senior lawyers across restructuring matters.

• 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in bankruptcy litigation or commercial litigation
• Experience with discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings and motion practice; some courtroom or trial experience preferred
• Strong legal research, writing and drafting skills; ability to manage multiple assignments with supervision
• Highly collaborative team player with attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning
