Mid-level associate role in a major business restructuring and insolvency practice based in New York. The position involves working on complex chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings for corporate clients across industries.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating restructuring plans and financing arrangements, supporting asset sales and liability-management transactions, and advising on procedural and substantive bankruptcy issues. You will work on large, team-oriented matters with exposure to both litigation and transactional aspects of special-situations work.

  • 4–6 years' experience in bankruptcy, restructuring or special-situations work at a national or international law firm.
  • Experience on complex chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings, including negotiating plans, financing arrangements, asset sales, and restructuring support agreements.
  • Strong drafting, oral advocacy, and client‑management skills; sound judgment and ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters.
  • Admission to the New York bar; strong academic credentials preferred.
