Associate — Capital Markets (Agency CMBS Securitizations), Charlotte

Leading national capital markets team seeks a transactional associate to work on agency CMBS securitizations in the Charlotte office. The role focuses on commercial mortgage loan securitizations and related capital markets work.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents (pooling and servicing agreements, offering documents, mortgage loan purchase agreements, certificate purchase agreements, placement agency agreements, legal opinions and related contracts) and managing the closing process for complex transactions. Strong communication, attention to detail and a collaborative work style are essential.

• 3–6 years' experience in capital markets, with specific experience on agency CMBS securitizations
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating securitization documents (PSAs, offering documents, purchase agreements, placement agreements, legal opinions)
• Experience managing transaction closings for complex securitizations
• Strong attention to detail, clear communicator, proactive and a collaborative team player
