An established UK disputes team is hiring an associate on a 12‑month fixed-term contract to join its Commercial Disputes group, based in Scotland (Glasgow with hybrid/cross-office work across Scottish offices). The role supports a national commercial disputes project and offers exposure to a broad range of contentious matters, including general commercial litigation and related specialist disputes.

The team handles litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution for corporate and public‑sector clients across multiple sectors. You will work alongside experienced dispute resolution lawyers on high‑calibre, deadline‑driven matters and collaborate with non‑contentious colleagues where transactional understanding is needed.

Qualified solicitor with approximately 2.5 years PQE in commercial disputes or similar litigation work
Strong drafting and communication skills
Commercial, common‑sense approach to problem solving
Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and support fee‑earners on complex matters
Self‑motivated, collaborative and willing to contribute to training and firm initiatives
