Associate — Commercial Litigation (Raleigh)

Growing litigation team in Raleigh seeks a hands-on Associate to handle commercial litigation, trucking/transportation, and product liability defense matters. The role offers immediate responsibility on active, high-exposure cases for sophisticated commercial and self‑insured clients within a collaborative, mentorship-focused practice.

Work will include ownership of a meaningful caseload, close collaboration with an experienced trial attorney, and opportunities for courtroom work. The team values strong writing, persuasive advocacy, and practical case-management skills; the firm provides structured mentorship and professional-development resources to accelerate litigation careers.

• 3–7 years civil defense litigation experience; strong commercial litigation, trucking/transportation, or product liability background
• Demonstrated experience taking depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and managing complex discovery
• Comfort with case strategy, working with experts, court appearances, and client-facing communications
• Admitted to practice in North Carolina and able to work in the Raleigh office at least four days per week
• Excellent writing, oral advocacy, research skills, and proven ability to handle responsibility in high-stakes matters
