Apply in confidence →Join a well-regarded UK construction & engineering practice as an Associate based in the South West (Bristol, with opportunities to work from Exeter or Cheltenham). This role is focused primarily on non-contentious construction work acting for public- and private-sector clients across the project lifecycle, with scope to advise on regional and national developments including energy and infrastructure.
You will work on high-value, multi-stakeholder projects advising on procurement, contracts and appointments, drafting and negotiating commercial documentation, and supporting clients throughout delivery. The team operates flexibly and supports hybrid working. The role offers hands-on file responsibility, regular client contact and development opportunities within a collaborative, skills-focused environment.
- 3–5 years' post-qualified experience in Construction & Engineering practice.
- Strong drafting and negotiation experience across standard and bespoke forms (JCT, NEC, FIDIC and energy contracts such as EPCs; experience with ancillary documents e.g. collateral warranties, bonds, PCGs).
- Predominantly non-contentious experience, with willingness to handle adjudication/arbitration/ TCC or other dispute work.
- Commercial mindset, strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and appetite for business development.
