Top-tier US firm is hiring a mid-level associate for the transactional Copyright & Technology practice in the Bay Area. The role sits on the commercial/transactional side of the copyright group and works with technology, digital media and content-driven companies.

The position focuses on negotiating and drafting bespoke commercial agreements—content and data licenses, content acquisition, strategic partnerships and dispute settlements—rather than M&A or financing work. The team advises on the intersection of digital technology and copyright law and handles matters ranging from counseling and compliance to high‑stakes commercial licensing and dispute resolution.

Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience in technology transactions, IP licensing, or comparable transactional practice.
Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating complex, bespoke commercial and licensing agreements.
Comfort advising on copyright-related business and commercial issues for technology, media or content clients; entertainment/music experience a plus.
Strong written and oral advocacy, client counseling and project-management skills for principal‑side deal work.
