Associate — Corporate (M&A) — London

Top-tier London corporate team is seeking an NQ–1PQE Associate to join a busy, growth-stage transactional practice focused on private company M&A, investments and joint ventures. The role offers early client contact and hands‑on transaction responsibility across domestic and cross‑jurisdictional matters.

The successful candidate will support senior fee‑earners on SPA, investment and JV documentation, lead elements of due diligence and disclosure, and coordinate with tax, employment and commercial colleagues. There is scope to work across private capital, financial services and technology-related clients.

The team values technical excellence, pragmatic advice and a collaborative approach. Candidates should be keen to contribute to business development and comfortable taking ownership of discrete transaction workstreams from an early stage.

• NQ–1 year PQE with strong technical knowledge in corporate law, particularly private company M&A and investments.
• Practical experience or familiarity with SPA, investment agreements, JVAs, due diligence and transaction management.
• Excellent communication, organisation and client‑facing skills; ability to prioritise multiple matters and work to tight deadlines.
• Self‑starter who can lead small project teams, delegate appropriately and collaborate with other practice areas.
• Strong academic background. Flexibility to work beyond standard hours when required and to meet an in‑office attendance expectation under an agile working framework.
