Associate — Corporate (M&A / Private Equity), Denver

Mid-level corporate associate position in a major national law firm’s Denver office, supporting sophisticated transactional matters for private equity, independent sponsor and portfolio company clients. The role sits on a collaborative deal team and provides meaningful client contact and responsibility on complex M&A and corporate transactions.

Work will emphasize deal structuring, negotiation and execution across a range of industries with particular exposure to health care and other regulated sectors. The team offers opportunities to develop transactional experience and take on increasing independence supervising due diligence and junior attorneys.

• 3–4 years’ transactional experience, ideally with private equity, independent sponsors, portfolio companies or founder-owned businesses
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating M&A and related transaction documents
• Experience preparing and negotiating governing documents (bylaws, operating agreements, partnership agreements)
• Ability to manage key aspects of transactions with growing independence, coordinate due diligence and supervise junior team members
• Strong academic record, superior drafting skills, detail-oriented and team-focused
• Admission to the Colorado bar
