Associate — Corporate M&A & Private Equity, Houston

Mid-level corporate associate opportunity in Houston to join a national corporate practice with a significant private equity/M&A focus. The role involves supporting transactions for financial sponsors, portfolio companies and corporate clients across M&A, capital raises, joint ventures and securities matters.

Day-to-day work includes drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, governance documents and other definitive transaction agreements, and providing ongoing support to portfolio companies. The team offers formal development, competitive compensation and a full benefits package.

• 4–6 years post-qualification transactional experience (private equity, financial sponsors or corporate M&A)
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, governance documents and related transaction filings
• Comfort advising portfolio companies on day-to-day corporate matters
• Strong academic record, excellent drafting and research skills, and attention to detail
• Texas Bar admission required; team-oriented and proactive work style
