Apply in confidence →A growing Data, Privacy & Cyber team is seeking an Associate to join its Manchester office. The team advises UK, European and international clients on the full spectrum of data protection, cyber incident response, data transfers, vendor/data processing arrangements, workplace privacy and AI governance.
The role offers exposure to regulatory compliance, cross-border data transfer work, contractual negotiation on data processing agreements, DSAR handling and privacy governance projects, plus involvement in M&A data diligence and incident response. The team works across sectors and with international network partners.
This is a permanent, client-facing role where you will be expected to develop technical expertise, manage matter delivery, build stakeholder relationships and contribute to business development activities.
- 0–3 years' post-qualification experience in data protection, privacy or cyber law
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Commercial, proactive and client-focused approach; comfortable taking responsibility for work output
- Interest in business development and ability to build internal and external relationships; collaborative team player
