Apply in confidence →Growing technology-focused practice seeking a transactional privacy attorney to join the Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity team in Austin. The role advises on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues across corporate and technology transactions, including M&A, capital markets, and commercial deals.
You'll work with companies at various stages — including AI/ML, cloud, software, and fintech — on privacy risk allocation, data transfer and processing arrangements, vendor and SaaS agreements, and regulatory/compliance considerations. The team handles both private and public company matters.
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school and strong academic credentials
- Approximately 4–7 years of transactional experience (M&A, capital markets, technology transactions or similar)
- Experience counseling on privacy, data processing, cybersecurity issues in transactional contexts
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- CIPP or other privacy certification a plus; familiarity with regulatory enforcement and technology industry clients preferred
