Seeking a mid-level associate to advise multinational and Fortune 500 clients on cross-border data privacy, cybersecurity, IP and technology matters, with particular focus on AI governance and emerging regulatory regimes. The role combines counseling on EU and U.S. privacy laws (including GDPR and U.S. federal/state frameworks), drafting and negotiating complex technology and AI-related agreements, and supporting regulatory compliance programs.

Responsibilities include negotiating IP/software licenses, AI model and data processing agreements, master services and outsourcing contracts; leading cross-border breach response and incident management; and developing privacy policies and AI governance frameworks. Hybrid schedule — must be in the New York office three days per week.

  • JD, LLM or foreign equivalent and admission to practice in New York.
  • Approximately 3 years' qualifying experience advising on EU and U.S. data privacy and cybersecurity law.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating IP/software licenses, data processing agreements, MSAs, IT services/outsourcing agreements and privacy compliance documentation.
  • Practical experience with cross-border data transfers, breach response/cybersecurity incident management, and advising on privacy implications of cloud and AI deployments.
