Leading international law firm is seeking a debt finance associate to join its New York office as part of a large Energy & Infrastructure practice. The role focuses on financing work across energy, infrastructure and related sectors, advising lenders, sponsors and other market participants on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

Typical matters include drafting and negotiating credit agreements, note purchase agreements, security documents, depositary agreements and related project and commercial documentation. Candidates will work on financings across renewables, power, oil & gas, and digital infrastructure.

  • 2–6 years' post-qualification debt finance experience, preferably with project or acquisition finance exposure in the energy & infrastructure sector
  • Experience drafting and negotiating financing documents (credit agreements, security documents, note purchase agreements, depositary agreements)
  • Familiarity with project finance and related commercial project documentation
  • Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills; bar admission required
