Associate — Debt Finance, New York

Highly regarded international law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate to join its Debt Finance practice in New York (candidates in Washington, D.C. or the Bay Area may also be considered).

The role focuses on leveraged and acquisition financing matters, representing sponsors, borrowers and, occasionally, lenders. You will work on complex syndicated and bilateral financings and should be comfortable managing transaction components under partner supervision.

The team values strong technical drafting, commercial judgment and up-to-date knowledge of market terms in private equity-related debt transactions.

• 2–5 years' experience in leveraged finance, with a focus on private equity acquisition financings
• Experience representing sponsors/borrowers preferred; lender-side experience will be considered
• Admission to the New York, D.C. or California bar
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions, strong drafting skills and excellent academic/firm credentials
