Apply in confidence →Join a market-leading Financial Institutions Group as an Associate Director specialising in financial services regulation. You will work within a standalone regulatory sub-team advising on investments and funds regulation, product launches, regulatory approvals and compliance projects for a broad range of financial services clients including platforms, fund managers, wealth managers, custodians, banks and fintechs.
The role offers high-responsibility, client-facing work across regulatory processes (authorisations, variations, notifications), regulatory change implementation and tactical regulatory support on transactions and restructurings. You will collaborate closely with corporate, commercial and banking colleagues and with specialist teams across Europe on cross-border matters.
This is an opportunity for an experienced regulatory lawyer at Associate Director level (or a high-performing senior associate) seeking visible client work and a clear path for progression within a structured development programme.
- Qualified solicitor in the UK with substantial experience in financial services regulation (Associate Director / senior associate level)
- Knowledge of FCA/PRA regulatory framework and experience with authorisations, variations, notifications and regulatory engagement
- Practical experience across relevant rule-sets such as Consumer Duty, COBS, SUP, MiFID II, MIFIDPRU, CASS, UK AIFMD and SMCR
- Experience advising on fund regulation, fund marketing or alternative fund managers preferred
- Proven drafting skills for client agreements and terms of business, and experience supervising and leading projects and junior lawyers
