Leading technology-focused international law firm is seeking a UK-qualified Employee Benefits & Compensation associate to join its growing London office. The role sits in a small, specialist incentives team and offers broad exposure to share option and incentive work for fast-growing private companies, including EMI, CSOP, growth shares and other non-qualified arrangements.

The position involves advising on the design, drafting and implementation of share plans, tax and valuation issues, and drafting incentive-related provisions for financings and M&A. You will work regularly with US-based EB&C colleagues on cross-border UK/US advisory matters and collaborate closely with corporate teams on investments, exits and related transactions.

This is a hands-on role with client contact, precedent development and business development opportunities, suitable for a commercially minded lawyer seeking acceleration and progression in a specialist incentives practice.

  • UK-qualified solicitor with, or eligible for, a valid practising certificate.
  • 2–5 years’ PQE with a majority of experience in employee share incentives.
  • Strong technical knowledge of EMI, CSOP, growth shares and non-qualified option arrangements.
  • Ability to manage a busy, transactional workload and communicate complex issues clearly; strong interpersonal and commercial awareness. Knowledge of US incentive arrangements is a plus.
