Associate — Employee Benefits (Health & Welfare), Atlanta

Well-established national law firm seeks an Associate or Counsel to join its Employee Benefits team with a primary focus on health & welfare plans. The role will involve counseling employers and plan sponsors on regulatory compliance and defending or advising on ERISA-related matters tied to health and welfare benefits.

Work will center on matters involving HIPAA, COBRA, the Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act, the No Surprises Act, and provisions of the Affordable Care Act. The position is based in Atlanta and offers exposure to counseling, regulatory work, and litigation/advisory matters within health & welfare benefits.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant employee benefits/ERISA experience, with substantial exposure to health & welfare plans.
• Practical knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, MHPAEA, No Surprises Act, and ACA compliance.
• Strong academic record and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage client workstreams and to work collaboratively with a national team; Atlanta-based candidates preferred.
