Join a busy, commercially-focused employment team supporting UK employers on contentious and advisory work. The role is based in the Cheltenham or Exeter office and offers exposure to tribunals, internal investigations, restructurings and employment documentation projects.

You will advise on matters such as contracts, handbooks, dismissal/discipline, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and whistleblowing, manage tribunal claims from ACAS through hearings and appeals, and represent clients at hearings and mediations. The team works closely with other practice areas to support corporate deals and complex dispute work.

The team operates flexibly and offers structured training, career progression and involvement in business development and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland with 1–5 years' post‑qualification experience in employment law.
  • Practical knowledge of UK employment legislation, case law and best practice; tribunal and advocacy experience desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload, conduct legal research and provide clear, commercial advice to HR and in‑house teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organisation and client service skills.
