The role combines advisory work, employment tribunal litigation and support on corporate matters such as M&A and outsourcing. The team operates on a hybrid basis and collaborates regularly with colleagues across other UK offices and overseas.
Typical matters include day-to-day HR advice, defense of tribunal claims, TUPE and redundancy projects, and multi-jurisdictional employment work. The role offers exposure to high‑quality clients across multiple sectors and opportunities to support large global projects.
There is scope to build client relationships, contribute to business development and thought leadership, and work closely with specialists in pensions, immigration and related practice areas.
- Qualified solicitor/UK employment lawyer with c.2–5 years PQE in pure employment law.
- Experience of employment tribunal litigation and advising on grievances, disciplinaries and workplace investigations.
- Practical knowledge of TUPE, outsourcing, restructuring/redundancy and employment aspects of M&A transactions.
- Experience drafting employment documentation (contracts, policies, handbooks) and conducting legal research.
- Strong client-facing skills, clear drafting, and willingness to contribute to business development and training.
