Leading national energy and infrastructure practice (open to several U.S. offices including New York) is seeking a transactional associate to work on renewable energy, energy transition finance and M&A matters. The role involves representing sponsors, developers, investors and financial institutions on project finance, tax equity and related transactions.

Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with U.S. renewables and power projects, including negotiation of material project agreements (for example, PPAs, EPC and O&M contracts). The position requires strong analytical skills, comfort with client interaction, and the ability to manage complex, multi‑party transactions as part of a deal team.

Candidates must be admitted to practice in the local jurisdiction and have prior law firm experience. This is a position within a large, nationally and internationally active firm.

  • 3+ years' relevant associate experience (project finance/renewables or energy transactional background)
  • Experience with U.S. project finance and tax equity transactions
  • Familiarity negotiating project agreements (PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.)
  • Prior law firm experience and admission to practice in the hiring office's jurisdiction
  • Strong team, communication, analytical and client-facing skills
