Top-tier international law firm is hiring a transactional associate to join its Energy, Transportation & Infrastructure practice in New York. The role involves advising sponsors, developers, investors and lenders on renewable energy, power and energy transition transactions.

Work will focus on U.S. project finance and tax equity transactions, energy-related M&A and the negotiation of project contracts (for example, PPA, EPC, O&M). The role requires managing complex deals within deal teams and interacting directly with sophisticated market participants.

The team hires across several U.S. offices; applicants should indicate their office preference and must be admitted to practice in the local jurisdiction. Prior law firm experience is required.

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification transactional experience (project finance, tax equity, or energy project development) in the U.S.
  • Experience with project finance/tax equity and negotiation of material project agreements (PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, drafting and deal-management skills; comfortable with client-facing responsibilities and teamwork.
  • Admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and prior law firm experience.
