Top-tier international law firm seeks an associate to join its New York finance team focusing on leveraged finance, private credit and acquisition financing. The role involves representing borrowers and/or lenders on syndicated and private debt transactions, with exposure to private equity-backed deals and special situations financing.

The team handles complex cross-border and domestic financings; successful candidates will work on drafting, negotiating and executing credit agreements, security packages and related transaction documentation alongside senior deal lawyers.

Relevant experience in leveraged finance, private credit or syndicated lending at a comparable law firm
Exposure to private equity acquisition financings, liability management or special situations finance
Class of 2017–2022 (experience level consistent with those qualification years)
Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction execution skills; able to manage deal workstreams in a fast-paced environment
