Associate — Financial Restructuring & Insolvency, Chicago

Seeking an associate with 2–4 years' restructuring and insolvency experience to join a leading international firm's Chicago Financial Restructuring & Insolvency team. The role offers exposure to sophisticated Chapter 11, out-of-court restructurings and cross-border insolvency matters.

You will draft pleadings, disclosure statements and plan-related documents; research and advise on complex Bankruptcy Code issues; assist with DIP financing, cash-collateral and claims processes; and coordinate Chapter 15 and cross-border workstreams with overseas counsel. The team emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence and mentorship.

• 2–4 years' experience in restructuring, insolvency or bankruptcy practice
• Practical experience with Chapter 11 work; familiarity with Chapter 15 and cross-border insolvency preferred
• Strong drafting and research skills — pleadings, motions, disclosure statements and corporate restructuring documents
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate with financial advisors and communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Excellent academics, sound judgment, and a collaborative team orientation
