Associate — Financial Restructuring & Insolvency, Los Angeles

Seeking a 2–4 PQE associate to join a global firm’s Financial Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Los Angeles. The team advises debtors, creditors and other stakeholders on complex chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings and cross‑border insolvencies, handling both litigation and transactional aspects of distressed matters.

Day-to-day work includes drafting pleadings, disclosure statements and plans of reorganization; researching and applying the US Bankruptcy Code and related statutes; negotiating DIP financings, use of cash collateral and other restructuring agreements; and coordinating Chapter 15 and cross‑border workstreams with overseas counsel.

The role offers exposure to high‑profile, complex restructurings, regular interaction with financial advisors and clients, and opportunities to contribute to internal precedent materials and mentor junior staff.

• J.D. and admission to practice in the relevant US jurisdiction.
• Approximately 2–4 years’ experience with bankruptcy, restructuring or insolvency matters.
• Practical experience with Chapter 11 proceedings and familiarity with Chapter 15/cross‑border insolvency issues.
• Strong drafting, legal research and analytical skills; experience preparing pleadings, motions and disclosure statements.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate with financial advisors and communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
