Associate — Financial Restructuring & Insolvency, New York

Join a global financial restructuring and insolvency team in New York handling sophisticated Chapter 11 and cross-border restructuring matters. The role offers exposure to complex in-court and out-of-court restructurings, debtor- and creditor-side work, and coordination with financial advisors and overseas counsel.

You will draft pleadings, disclosure statements and restructuring documents; research and advise on issues under the US Bankruptcy Code; manage claims, DIP financing and cash-collateral matters; and assist in negotiation and confirmation processes. The team emphasizes collaborative, high-profile work and on-the-job development.

• J.D. and 2–4 years post-qualification experience in bankruptcy, restructuring or related commercial litigation
• Practical experience with Chapter 11 procedures, pleadings, and restructuring documents
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills; comfortable handling financial and valuation materials
• Team-oriented, organized, with effective oral and written communication and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
