Apply in confidence →Well-regarded national law firm is seeking a Government Contracts associate with a cybersecurity focus to join its Chicago office (candidates in Washington, D.C. or Denver will also be considered). The role will counsel government contractors on federal cybersecurity requirements and support clients across regulatory, compliance, and contractual matters.
Day-to-day work includes advising on government cybersecurity obligations, conducting compliance audits and risk assessments, helping develop cybersecurity policies and contract clauses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical and regulatory challenges. Strong writing, analytical, and client-facing skills are essential.
- 3–5 years’ experience counseling clients on government cybersecurity or related government contracts compliance matters
- J.D. and membership in the state bar for the office applied to, or eligibility for admission by waiver
- Background or substantial familiarity with technical concepts (e.g., computer science, auditing) preferred
- Preferred certifications: CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP), CCP, CIPP, or similar
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
