Leading international litigation team is seeking a junior-to-mid level IP associate to join its life sciences practice. The role focuses on complex patent litigation for pharmaceutical and biologic matters, with regular work in Hatch-Waxman (ANDA) and BPCIA disputes.

You'll work on district-court litigation and proceedings before the patent office, contribute to case strategy, manage aspects of litigation, and advise innovator clients on enforcement and defence options. The position is open to candidates able to work in the firm's German practice group.

  • Juris doctor / equivalent law degree and admission to practice in relevant jurisdiction(s) or eligibility to obtain admission
  • Junior-to-mid level experience in patent litigation, preferably with life sciences or pharmaceutical matters
  • Practical experience with Hatch-Waxman (ANDA) and/or BPCIA disputes and familiarity with district-court and patent-office proceedings
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills, and experience in litigation strategy and case management
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-border teams and support client counselling on life-sciences IP issues
