Seeking an associate to join a growing investment funds team in the Los Angeles office of a leading US law firm. The group advises on fund formation and investment management matters across private equity, hedge funds, private credit, real estate and other alternative strategies.

The role offers exposure to both institutional and retail-alternative fund structures (including BDCs, interval and closed‑end funds) and involves client-facing work and opportunities to contribute to business development. This is a development-focused role within a strategically important practice area.

4–8 years post-qualification experience in fund formation and investment management
Experience with hedge funds, private equity or other alternative investment fund structures
Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills
Comfort with direct client interaction and a commercial, business-development mindset
