The role focuses on advising fund sponsors on fundraising and transactional matters, navigating SEC examinations and enforcement, and supporting regulatory compliance projects.
Typical engagements include reviewing offering materials and fund governing documents, preparing SEC filings, responding to examinations, and counseling on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act and related securities laws. The team offers significant exposure to both transactional and regulatory work within investment funds practice.
The hiring salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $260,000. Candidates must be admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
- 1–3 years post-qualification experience in investment funds regulatory work at a major law firm
- Strong familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940; familiarity with the Investment Company Act and Securities Act preferred
- Experience reviewing offering materials, fund governing documents, preparing SEC filings, and responding to examinations
- Admission to practice in the District of Columbia required
