Associate — Investment Management, Washington, D.C.

Leading investment management practice in the Washington, D.C. office is seeking an associate to join its corporate/Investment Management group. The team advises asset managers, funds, trustees and other industry participants on fund formation, regulatory compliance, governance and related transactional matters.

Ideal candidates will have experience counseling clients on issues under the Investment Company Act and Advisers Act, working on both registered and private fund matters, and supporting novel or complex regulatory and transactional engagements. This is a lateral hire for experienced associates; current law students are not eligible.

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in investment management or fund formation practice
• Experience with Investment Company Act and Advisers Act matters, and with registered and private funds
• Strong drafting, analytical and teamwork skills; admission or eligibility to be admitted in D.C. preferred
