Apply in confidence →Join a well-established Bristol intellectual property team as an Associate handling contentious and non-contentious IP work, with an emphasis on patent and trade mark litigation. The role offers regular High Court and IPEC exposure and involvement in technically sophisticated disputes across sectors such as life sciences, software, electronics and financial services.
You will support litigation strategy, work with counsel and technical experts, draft pleadings and evidence, manage disclosure and handle pre-action correspondence and settlement processes. There is scope to advise on commercial IP agreements and to develop into a trusted adviser within a growing, collaborative practice.

- Approximately 3 years PQE in contentious intellectual property, with experience supporting High Court or IPEC litigation.
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
- Comfort engaging with technical subject matter; a degree in a relevant science or engineering subject is desirable.
- Strong legal and technical research, drafting and analytical skills and good matter management ability.
- Ability to build client relationships, communicate clearly and work collaboratively across IP, commercial, corporate and technology teams.
