Apply in confidence →Growing Los Angeles office seeks a Labor & Employment associate with 5–7 years' experience to join a busy litigation team. The role focuses on defending employers in individual-plaintiff matters and handling wage-and-hour, PAGA, and class-action-related issues.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing case work with moderate independence, drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, briefing and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and conducting and defending depositions. Employment counseling experience on federal and California law is a plus.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active admission to the California bar
- Approximately 5–7 years of labor & employment litigation experience
- Experience defending single-plaintiff litigation (discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, reasonable accommodation)
- Familiarity with PAGA matters and class-action practice
- Proven litigation skills: drafting pleadings, discovery, dispositive and discovery motions, and taking/defending depositions
- Strong legal research and writing; ability to manage matters with moderate independence and collaborate with senior attorneys
