Midlevel associate opportunity with a large California practice focused on land use, environmental permitting, and energy/ infrastructure projects. The team advises developers, utilities, and infrastructure clients on entitlements, environmental review, and regulatory strategy across California.

Work will include counseling on California planning and zoning, CEQA/NEPA strategy, state housing law, transactional documents (development agreements, leases, easements, interconnections), and defending entitlements in state and federal courts. The role offers exposure to high‑impact urban redevelopment, housing, data center, and utility‑scale renewable matters.

  • 3+ years’ experience in California land use, environmental, or energy law.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar; JD from an accredited law school and strong academic record.
  • Practical experience with CEQA/NEPA, California planning and zoning, state housing laws (e.g., Density Bonus, SB 330), and relevant environmental statutes.
  • Comfort with transactional drafting (development agreements, leases, easements) and defending entitlements in administrative and court proceedings.
