Associate / Managing Associate — Patent Litigation, London

Experienced contentious IP lawyer sought to join a busy patent litigation team in central London. The role offers exposure to high-value patent disputes (including proceedings before the UK courts, UPC and related advisory work) across life sciences, engineering, software and other technology sectors.

The team is integrated with patent attorneys and transactional specialists, offering hands-on involvement in the full patent lifecycle and opportunities to develop courtroom experience, run pieces of work autonomously and contribute to business development and team growth.

• 4–8 years’ post-qualification experience in contentious IP/patent litigation in private practice
• Strong procedural knowledge (White Book experience) and demonstrable patent litigation expertise
• Ability to manage a varied caseload, mentor junior fee‑earners and work with autonomy
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills; client-focused and commercially aware
• Science/technical background preferred (but not essential); interest in further IP qualifications (e.g. Oxford IP Diploma) advantageous
