Mid-level associate role within a global, insurance-focused firm’s New York office, supporting maritime insurance and marine litigation matters. The team handles coverage disputes, policy interpretation and related civil litigation for marine insurers and insureds across U.S. and international matters.

Typical responsibilities include analyzing marine insurance policies and related contracts, drafting pleadings and discovery, managing depositions, conducting legal research, preparing dispositive motions, and participating in court appearances and appeals. The role is office-based with a hybrid working pattern.

  • Minimum ~2 years of litigation experience, preferably with marine/maritime insurance coverage work.
  • Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and conducting legal research.
  • Proven courtroom experience, including hearings, conferences and appellate work.
  • Admission and good standing to practice in New York; additional U.S. state admissions are a plus.
  • Strong client-facing skills and ability to work on matters with international elements.
