Apply in confidence →Experienced litigation associate sought for a New York litigation team handling defense and coverage matters across maritime, energy (including renewables), transportation and related sectors. The group defends a range of matters including personal injury aboard vessels and energy projects, cargo loss, motor carrier and broker liability, and property/business interruption claims.
The role involves litigation work at trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts, supporting U.S. and international insurer and non-insurer clients. Although New York-based, the team handles matters nationwide with a particular emphasis on the Gulf Coast region.
This is a hands‑on position: you will prepare pleadings and briefs, manage discovery, attend depositions/hearings/mediations, and provide trial and appeals support while collaborating with colleagues across offices.
- Admitted to practice in New York
- Approximately 5–6+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally with maritime/transportation or energy exposure
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks and work effectively in teams
- Excellent interpersonal and time‑management abilities
