Seeking a litigation associate to join a large healthcare-focused practice in Houston. The role focuses on defending healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings, with substantial trial and courtroom responsibility.

Ideal candidates will handle all phases of medical-malpractice defense litigation: pleadings and discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. The team environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with opportunities for independent case management and courtroom work.

Admitted to practice in Texas
2–7 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on medical malpractice/healthcare defense
Trial experience defending and litigating medical-malpractice lawsuits required
Proven ability drafting/responding to discovery and pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions
Strong legal writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters
