Associate / Of Counsel — Intellectual Property (Atlanta)

Seeking a team-oriented Associate or Of Counsel to join a growing Intellectual Property practice in the Atlanta office. The role focuses on patent prosecution and counseling for life sciences and related technologies, working collaboratively with transactional and other practice groups to deliver full-service IP support to corporate clients.

Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing patent opinion letters, conducting patent due diligence in business transactions, and providing strategic patent counseling. The group values strong communication skills, superior academic credentials, and the ability to work closely with colleagues across practices.

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline (life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, materials science)
• 7+ years of patent prosecution and life sciences IP experience
• Membership in the U.S. Patent Bar (required)
• Proven ability to draft and prosecute patent applications, prepare opinions, and perform due diligence
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; team-oriented mindset
