Associate — Private Equity M&A (Asset Management), Philadelphia

Top-tier US law firm is seeking a mid‑level to senior associate to join its Private Equity practice in Philadelphia on asset management M&A matters. The role will focus on transactions involving asset managers and related GP stakes work, while also handling a range of corporate and transactional matters.

The team works collaboratively across practice groups on buy‑ and sell‑side M&A, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture matters, exits, and equity compensation issues. Candidates should be proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable managing relationships with internal teams, clients and outside counsel.

Bar admission (or prompt eligibility to obtain admission) in the Philadelphia office jurisdiction is required.

• 3+ years of transactional experience; private equity/asset management M&A experience required
• Experience with GP stakes transactions preferred
• Broad corporate transactional background (M&A, leveraged recaps, growth equity, venture, equity compensation)
• Strong communication, commercial judgment, and ability to work independently and in teams
• Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the Philadelphia jurisdiction
